ACTING PARAMEDIC CHIEF TERMINATED

Kawartha Lakes Acting Paramedic Chief, Derek Brown, has been terminated with cause. According to a news release issued by the City, an internal investigation of alleged financial irregularities and breach of trust led the City to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service. A police investigation is underway.

The Paramedic Service continues to provide exemplary service to the residents of Kawartha Lakes under the direction of Acting Chief Andrew Rafton.

Recruitment is proceeding for the position of Paramedics Chief.
